A REPORT:THE GOOD NEWS ** WordPress Tech Support; Progress on Rewrite; Lost Photos, Found; Broken Phone, Fixed

This will be a longer report, and that is Good News all by itself.

In the process of building my second website, something I believed I would never be able to do, I discovered an unlikely phenomenon. WordPress has one of the best customer support services I have ever encountered.  It never occurred to me that they would have any customer support, let alone a system as impressive as they do.  I could write an entire post just detailing the evidence, and perhaps I will, but for now I’ll just say: If you’re considering a blog or website, go with WordPress.

Having been obsessed for over a month with the new website and trying to figure out the possibilities of this quirky business I’m starting, and still with lots of work to do, like setting up “business” pages on LinkedIn, I have had no energy left for this major rewrite of last year’s manuscript and was getting a little nervous that I wouldn’t get back to it.  Lo and behold, with no particular change in anything, I started right back in late last night and have continued today. It’s going well.

Took phone to Verizon store and they did a factory reset, which theoretically wipes the phone.  I came home prepared to spend the day setting up the phone, looking for my old contacts list, reinstalling apps, etc.  WOW! Nothing had been erased.

And, having searched high and low, over and over, for four photos a friend took when we were out to dinner, I found them. Or, in fact, they appeared.  One is featured on this blog.  Recognize it?

And that’s about all the news that’s fit to print.
